6 steps to your new website copy:
Step 1 – Project discovery
We start with a discovery session. This is about getting to know you, what you do and your target audience. Later, we’ll distil the most important information into your website’s copy.
Project discovery can be in person, over the phone, via Skype, or your favourite method of communication. It usually takes 60-180 minutes.
We’ll discuss all sorts, including:

- Objectives for your new site
- Target audience/user personas
- Tone of voice

Step 2 – Project definition
After we’ve figured out exactly what you need, we’ll write up a detailed project definition.
Step 3 – Research
We get our nerd on, researching what you do, your competition, SEO and anything else relevant to your particular website.
Every site is different, so this research stage is crucial to understand what you’re all about – and to get into the mindset of your target audience.
Step 4 – Tone of voice guidelines + feedback
Your tone of voice is how your brand would sound if it could talk out loud. We develop guidelines especially for you, giving your brand its own distinctive voice.
We use these guidelines to write copy for your new website – they’re yours to keep for any future writing projects.
To be extra thorough, we also prepare grammar, spelling and consistency guidelines. We’ll make sure you’re pleased with everything before moving forward to the main event: website copywriting.
Step 5 – Website copywriting + feedback
Applying your new tone of voice, we write your website copy.
